Now what is alchemy, you ask?

"Alchemy is a bridge between Heaven & Earth, matter & spirit, the solid & the fluid, the visible & invisible, making the horizontal and vertical as one."
A reworded quote from J. Ramsay

The void symbol,as with most symbols, they are a visual aid designed to help us keep our focus, like a magical flash card if you will. And not everybody learns the same way so symbols may not work for you which is fine, it is nothing more than a mere tool and there are going to be people who are put off by the symbol because they do not know or understand what that symbol represents or means, as with most things in life, as you will learn or already have,
is activated by thought, purified by deity/divine/spirit/Source, and makes manifestation.
Alchemy, meaning mystery or secret not easily revealed, is none other than wisdom. Wisdom know as sophia to Gnostics, known to be passed down from Socrates to King Solomon(2 Chronicles 3:15-17;Solomon's Temple of the Lord showing eerie connections to the Tarot's High Priestess)
and very much part of an ancient power.
The real magick of alchemy in motion is esoteric, meaning to find or discover divine truth.
"Divine alchemy comes from the greek word dynamikos meaning " energy in motion," which says that by using different techniques we can mix our mental abilities with the energy of Spirit, creating a light/vibration, that affects matter and causes change in the physical world. In plain english it means using your belief in god/source/divine/spirit with your thoughts to change the world around you, and your certainty that the change is possible is your faith.
In deed, almost every self-help book on the market today strives to teach you how to use your mind to create positive change in your world. Not exactly a religion in its own right, but divine alchemy became part of various mystery traditions over the ages (teachings that weren't given to just anybody), and traces of this kind of alchemy lurked in secret societies. Moses, Roger Bacon, St. Germain, Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, and Victor Hugo, to name a few, were all considered alchemists." Therefore, every magickal person who truly seeks to make themselves and the world a better place through their actions, studies, and thoughts is practicing a form of alchemy: You can tell how advanced they are by their actions and bearing-meaning that if they act like a jerk, are rude, or focus on hurting someone in thought, word, or deed, they are basically nothing but hot air masquerading around as the real thing."
